Utah County Jail Helps Inmates Break Addiction
The Utah County Jail recently began using a new program to help inmates break the cycle of addiction and recidivism (the tendency of a convicted criminal to re-offend.)
The new program / treatment is called the ChainBreakers program, which works with inmates to show them a new path to life.
Woman Dies of Blunt Force Trauma While In Davis County Jail
The woman Heather Ashton Miller, while in her cell fell from the bunk. After the fall officers came to initially check on her and moved her to another cell. The fall caused such trauma that her spleen nearly split in half and she bleed to death internally.
